Hobble Creek Singers is a place where young people come to do the extraordinary. Children and teenagers aged 6-17 from across Utah Valley together to become world-class singers through hard work, dedication, and passion. New singers should be able to match pitch, concentrate during a one hour and fifteen minute rehearsal, and take direction well.
Join HCS on an exciting ride through its 23-24 season. Past seasons have featured collaborations with such renowned guest conductors such as Anton Armstrong, Z. Randall Stroope, Bob Chilcott, and Henry Leck among others, and will feature exhilarating repertoire in our traditional Winter and Spring Concerts and free community concerts. The choir has performed with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and we have recently performed in the opera, La Boheme with UVU Opera, and in Carmina Burana with the BYU Choirs. In addition to an active rehearsal and musicianship schedule for choristers, the educational season will include master classes, new guest artists, and wonderful repertoire. (Hear a sample of our repertoire by clicking on the lines in the top left corner of this page). Come along with us, sing along with us, and be a part of the growing HCS family!

Little Creek Singers
Little Creek Singers is a choir for singers from ages 6 to 8 years old. The main goal of this choir will be to help children focus on light, clear, in-tune singing while developing basic musical abilities. In this class musical skills will be taught through singing as a whole body experience. They will move their bodies to the music, do rhythmic exercises, solfege, and sing fun songs. Over the year, the singers will learn listening skills, intonation, posture and alignment, breathing technique, vocal flexibility, and endurance as well as concert etiquette. All activities in music class will be fun and full of purpose. Your child will leave class with a feeling of accomplishment and an excitement about making music.
Payment is due on the first day of class. Please register your child online for expedited service on the first day.

Letter to Hobble Creek Singers from a Great Music Teacher Friend!
Leslie,
The performance of your Hobble Creek Singers a the UMEA Conference was absolutely superb, without any doubt in my mind.
The students' vocal production, including their projection, was stunning. I sensed that the kids had been well trained and were reflecting the vocal expertise of their teachers, you and Leanna.
The kids were animated with energy as they performed--super fun to watch--and their intonation was refreshing. Their diction was crisp. I loved and appreciated how the songs were very entertaining. D'anne thought that the performance was wonderful as well.
When the singers finished their last piece, I wanted to stand up and holler at the top of my voice, "DO YOU REALIZE HOW GOOD THESE KIDS ARE? HEY, HEY! AUDIENCE, STAND UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP! AND YELL AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS WITH ME: 'YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING.' THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
The group sounded very auditioned although you mentioned that they were not. Believe it or not, I felt that I was listening to the San Francisco Girl Choir (which has been my favorite girl choir in the whole world). Your work had produced the same quality of sounds as theirs. I was so impressed, in all seriousness. And so happy and proud!
Blessings to you, to your outstanding group, to your success, and to your future.
And believe me, again, I sense that your choir is a treasure.
Blessings again!
